Eric Stratton has been a photojournalist in Alaska for the past 6 years. He enjoys sharing stories of the Last Frontier, especially ones concerning natural science, and the environment. While not documenting the news he enjoys shooting still photography of the beautiful state's wildlife and landscapes. His photography work has been used in various print periodicals and calendars. Eric was born in Fairbanks, AK, and received a BFA in Film, from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA in 2001.
Eric has won for Best General News Story for 2012, with reporter Natalie Travis, awarded by, The Alaska Press Club, for a piece called "Ringing For A
Record and A Cause." Most recently he was awarded, with Natalie Travis, for the Uniquely Alaska Program Entry, by the Alaska Broadcasters
Association, for a piece called "Haboring Seward's Waters."
He is currently working on 3 documentary shorts, A camping trip with his father, an inside look at small batch beer brewing, and a fellow filmmakers personal film on Christianity.
