The Companhia Erva Daninha started in 2006 and settled in Fabrica da Rua da Alegria, space provided by ESMAE (School of Music and Performing Arts). Has its mission is to explore the dialogue between the different expressions of the performing arts following an experimental esthetic.
It develops crosses between disciplines of the circus, theater, music, lighting and visual arts. Their work cover current thematic and have as a starting point biographical, literary, cinematic, social and political materials. Their search for a more intimate and poetic relation with the audience, makes their projects primarily for the stage or indoors.
Erva Daninha promotes social and political values of equality, mutual assistance, humanization and above all a good mood.
