Is film-maker too pretentious or technically inaccurate a term for what I do? How about Pixelcrafter? Hmm, that seems MORE pretentious, somehow.

So let's skip the semantics and talk about what is important, which is me. You know, directors are supposed to have big egos, right? Fortunately raising my two little boys keeps me well grounded in understanding who is actually important.

When i can pawn off the younglings on Mommy, i occasionally make movies about things that interest me: games, mind control, and lightsabers. I'm both an artiste (pretentious again? fine, i will drop the extra "e"! happy?) and a tech-geek, so I get equally excited about story arcs, bokeh, and asymmetrical interframe codecs.

If I had to pick a position on a crew, i would take Director. If someone else were to pick a place for me, I'd probably be DP. I cannot stand doing a shoot without a good, strong AD. I am a reformed dissolver, but occasionally relapse. I [heart] motion blur and think glowy stuff is the best.
