FASEBMARC Plus
The Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC) Program was created by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to increase the number of biomedical and behavioral scientists from minority groups. The overall objective of the MARC Program is to increase the number of underrepresented students, postdocs and academic faculty engaged in biomedical and behavioral research by strengthening the science curricula at minority-serving institutions and increasing the research training opportunities for underrepresented students, postdocs and faculty.
The FASEB MARC Program's key objective is the encouragement, preparation and support of underrepresented students in the pursuit of postgraduate education leading to the PhD, MD/PhD, or other combined professional degree-PhD in the biomedical and behavioral sciences.
