At present, positive changes have taken place in the fashion life of Hungary, which can pin our country onto the fashion world map. Hungarian top models are getting more popular, more and more youngsters discover the beauty of Hungarian designer pieces and more investors and sponsors consider investing into a talented designer’s brand. Until the first TONI&GUY Fashion Week Budapest there were no such professional platform where designers could unfold their collections the way their international competitors do. Last year we laid down the foundations of an event series that allows successful and talented designers to reveal their collections properly in front of the Hungarian and international press, buyers and the general public as well. Our aim is to get together the most talented young fashion designers with the most innovative brands for a successful and most “talked about” event for communication and socially responsible purposes. Based on the concept of the international fashion week series, TONI&GUY Fashion Week Budapest is such an event, where the leading Hungarian fashion designers gain platform to introduce their seasonal collections twice a year for the Hungarian and international fashion industry and the public as well. The long-term goal of the event is to strengthen the position of the Hungarian designers on the local and also on the international markets and to revive Hungarian fashion and textile industry.
