Alison Fast Plus
Alison Fast is a bi-coastal, award-winning television producer who has worked for networks such as NBC/Universal, BBC Worldwide and MTV Networks.
In 2007, she won a Peabody Award for the one-hour documentary, "For My Country? Latinos In The Military", which she shot, produced, directed, and edited for mun2 (NBC/Universal). She also worked as a Field Producer for "Dancing With the Stars" (ABC) in 2008. More recently, she documented National Audubon Society's response to the Gulf Coast oil spill.
Alison has produced and documented international events including the 5th World Water Forum in Mexico City, and XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City for UNAIDS/UNDP. She has traveled in more than 20 countries and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
Through Barefoot Workshops, she has trained more than forty grassroots organizations in Africa and the Middle East to use media to meet development goals. She has led media training programs for UNESCO, the U.S. Department of State, Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, Academy for Educational Development (AED), the Mississippi Film Commission and Baton Rouge Film Commission, among others.
Her goal is to produce educational and positive entertainment for broadcast.
Special interests include: news/current events, immigration and environmental issues. She is well-versed in: documentary, travel/adventure, docu-reality, and would like to produce more short videos for the web.
She also has experience co-hosting the Emmy-nominated travel show, "Weekend Explorer" on PBS.
