Fatih Pınar
Fatih Pınar was born in Konya, Turkey in 1974. In 1992, he began to study economics at Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir. He has been making photo-interviews for the monthly geographic magazine ATLAS since 1998. More than 100 features of Pınar, mostly concerned in social, political and cultural topics from Turkey and some 20 other countries, have been published in ATLAS.
Pınar’s last project is about the Urban Transformation Project in Istanbul. His main concern is to show the lives of the people who has been overwhelmed and marginalized by the sovereign culture and politics, and to document the current situation of the regions of Istanbul which will be transformed soon with the project.
