Federico Vladimir Strate Pezdirc ( b. Buenos Aires, 1983) is a Spanish artist and filmmaker based in London. He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication by the Universidad Complutense (Madrid) and an MA in Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art (London). Strate Pezdirc's work, in the form of an installation or film, consists of building frames for objects, texts and images that entwine among them. The result is a narrative in which the private and the documentary footage fill in the gaps that fiction is not able to fill. Strate Pezdirc's films have been shown at the Documentary Film Festival Cinéma du Réel (Paris) or at the BFI (London), and have received several awards including the first Prize at the Auditorio de Galicia and the INJUVE Young Creators award.
