Francesco Fei born in Florence, Italy.
After a Degree in Film History, he begins shooting music videos and works with some of the most important artists in the Italian scene.
At the same time, he directed “True Life”, a series of social documentaries for MTV Italia, and works with “Eggs Invaders” crew for a live video installation in the Galleria d’Arte Re Baudengo of Turin, Italy.
In 2004 he started his own production company, in order to produce his first feature film, “Onde”. The movie has been selected for many festivals worldwide and has been recognized by critics as one of the most interesting Italian first movies. of the last few years.
In 2008 he shoot, in collaboration with the talent musician Steve Piccolo, the short movie “Temporality Residentity”, presented at the 65th Venice International Film Festival and at the 11th Venice Architecture Biennale.
Author of the video-art projetc “Milano Up Date”, funded by Lombardy region, he participated at Rome Film Festival, “Expossible” exhibition and “Milano Up Date 2012” at the Foundation Corrente in Milan, Milano Film Festival e and Festival Loop in Barcelona, Spain.
In 2009 he was the director of the show “Saviano racconta Saviano” (Saviano narrates Saviano) for Current Tv-Italy.
In 2012 he wrote and directed the short film in 3D "Il Sognatore” (The Dreamer), produced by the Art Academy of Brera in Milan, Italy, and for Sky Arts he realized a documentary based on the internationally renowned painter, Velasco Vitali, .
In 2013 he realized the short-movie in 3 screens “L’arcobaleno e la sposa perduta” (The rainbow and the lost bride) for the exhibition “Il calzolaio prodigioso” at the Ferragamo Museum in Florence, Italy.
He is also teaching at the Academy of Fine Art in Bergamo and at IED in Milan. He has taught and lectured at the Brera Academy of Fine Art, School of New Technologies Brera 2, Scuola Holden, NUCT, Lab 80, Fondazione Pistoletto, Fondazione Arezzo Wave.
