Juan Femath has 12 years of experience in video production, documentary, and graphic design. As an aerial combat videographer in the Air Force for seven years, he was named the 2004 Department of Defense Military Videographer of The Year (MILVID), a competition held between all services of the military. The following year he was the runner-up. His work documenting the war in Iraq and Afghanistan has been seen on national television and various film festivals to include CNN, BBC News, the Pentagon Channel and the New York International Film Festival.

Born in El Paso, Texas, Femath joined the United States Air Force in 1995 and four years later was recruited to join the Air Force’s only active duty combat camera unit out of Charleston, South Carolina. From 1999-2006, he documented military operations and humanitarian efforts in Grenada, South Korea, Cuba and Iraq. In support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, Femath imbedded with Strategic Communications under Ambassador Paul L. Bremmer.

Most recently a Producer/Director for the U.S. Air Force, Femath produced documentary, training, news and promotional content for the Air Force and the Department of Defense. In 2006 and 2007 he produced two award-winning promotional documentaries on the role the Air Force plays in the war with Iraq; “How We Fight” and “Setting the Conditions for Victory”.

Femath also works as a freelance documentary producer and editor, in addition to designing multimedia for print and internet. He is currently producing and editing a documentary feature on the entertainment group “Tops In Blue”. In 2008, he collaborated on a series of magazine ads for world renowned illusionists and escape artists “Ridgeway & Johnson”, and also produced a series of documentaries on country music star Michael Peterson on his “My Real Life Tour”.
