Fidit, born in a city full of stars. New York city to be exact. A borough located in the eastern most part of the city. The same borough that produced some of the world greatest stars such as; Nas, Run DMC, Ron Artest, Mobb Deep, Lamar Odom, 50 Cent and Rafer "Skip to My Lou" Alston. That Q. boro, Queens. Gerald was born in a town called Jamaica, (some times referred to as the heart of Queens) in a neighborhood called Laurelton( L.A. or The Ton) as shown in his Life & Times of Fidit (Hustle & Grind) documentary. Fidit was yanked from his home at the age of 13. From Southern Queens, to the Metro- Atlanta area, moved from the bricks to the burbs, but got to work immediately. He did several mixtapes while in junior high with his organization Expect No Mercy (F.K.A. Raw Gettin' Green). Because of his jump on the competition (rhyming from the age of 11) he was quickly recognized by everybody from students to teachers, for his reckless lyrical talent, funky fresh beats, creativity and sick promotional skills. High school was a big change, Gerald experienced the lost of several family members and friends, but also a change in style, swagger and lyrical content. "I like to think of it as a time when I was finding me, just like the change from a boy to a man". BUT his talent doesn't stop at rapping or MCing, he also Produces, Engineers, Masters, Promotions, Graphic design, and barely plays a few instruments, and any thing else that makes him valuable to the Game (Music industry). Any one who knows him will tell you he has a crazy grind, can do what ever he sets his mind to and is very talented but words can't explain certain thing.
