For the last 6 years Chabot College students, with faculty support, have been creating educational documentaries. The films investigate all aspects of community college life, from classroom pedagogy and curriculum to student services. One important feature of the films is that Student Voices are front and center. The students filmmakers also inject wit, creativity, and strong points of views into these films. These are not your typical educational videos!
Chabot teachers Sean McFarland and Tom deWit are co-Directors of Acceleration in Context, an initiative that offers professional development support to faculty around California and the nation. The movies you see here play an important role in that work.
