Fix This

Music can be done in 2 ways: being faithful to one style, or being faithful to a personal need. Precisely this second way is how Fix This composes its music. Fix This is a group of musicians settled in Madrid, that began to play in the summer of 2008. With their hands, they shape a music that can first sound like Swing music from last century but then turns into acid jazz from the nineties. Nothing is predictable in this sextet. Everything can be processed by their hands and by their vocal chords. Their music is an authentic miscellany of styles and languages with a continuous reference to Afro-American classicism, without keeping stuck at it, though.
They try to contribute to the popular music of the XX Century with a new way of understanding and listening. There are no limits for them in creating atmospheres and soundscapes, whether they are old or new, so as everything in between…
