The desire to rub the fantastical and imagined up against the everyday drives Flora Bradwell’s practice. Flora is a London based artist who studied Fine Art Painting at City & Guilds of London Art School. Winner of the David Ballardie Travel Award in 2008, she travelled to Edinburgh Festival. The ideas of façade and performance continue to influence Flora’s vibrant canvases, site specific interactive installations and artist moving image work.
Flora has exhibited throughout the UK and Internationally. Selected exhibitions include The Cluen Dynasty Museum, Jacksons Lane 2013, V-Kunst, Frankfurt, 2013, BEEP 2012, Wales International Painting Prize, Swansea 2012 and LAND OF TINA, Land of Kings Festival 2012. Flora’s directorial debut RIGHTING won Best Short at Reel Islington Film Festival 2012 and her artist moving image work has been screened at countless festivals including London Short Film Festival 2014, Les Brigades Des Images, Kiev 2013 and O:4W, Cardiff, 2012. In 2011 Flora co-founded Greenhorn Short Film Festival, an annual festival celebrating emerging film making talent.
