Hello there
Something about the HD upload limitations for basic accounts came to my mind lately.
After I received 3gb additional upload limit to my basic account for being a runner up in a weekend challenge I got pretty excite and uploaded a couple videos but I soon was confronted with an issue I wasn't aware existed.
Basic accounts only have a 1 HD video per week limit ...
I know this has been there from the beginning but not to long ago Vimeo fused the HD channel with the staff picks because basically everything is HD now and pretty much every video capturing device is capturing HD and a lot of people call it the new standard def. since UHR of 4K+ is about to break into the mainstream.
So my point is take this limitation away since it's not fit for the times anymore - I understand you need a distinct difference between basic and pro accounts but I think the 500MB limitation is enough considering how much one can upload with that...

I hope you consider this thought and make it happen in the near future.
If not my extra upload capacity is basically good for nothing unless I'd upload a complete 2h feature film every week :)

Hi Valentin,
While this is something we may consider, there are heavy costs involved with allowing unlimited HD uploads for all users. It may happen one day, but I couldn't tell you how soon.
