An easy way to delete multiple movies

I'd love to be able to delete a whole album of clips at one time. If that's not possible, being able to delete multiple clips at once would be good too. Could this be possible?

… as well as editing various values of multiple videos at once. vimeo really needs a new web app. its such a ridiculous pain to manage more than a few movies with the current version (and original) version.

After copying the embed code of one of my vimeo movies and posting into my Wordpress post, the movie plays well, but at it end, the movie screen gives the viewer access to my other vimeo movies. Is there a way to prevent this, so that only only particular movie is presented? Thanks.

Yes, please at least allow us to eliminate the "enter your password" obligation as part of the advanced options!

This is the single most important improvement I can think of . Somehow it's gotten HARDER to delete videos lately (password).

Wow, I can't believe vimeo has been so slow to respond to their customers like this. This is sort of an embarrassing thread for Vimeo.

Any update on this Vimeo? I do prefer the Vimeo player and quality of playback compared to the competition however the media management options (especially since the new update) are terrible. Just completed a project with 24 video uploads which I now need to delete, requiring to dig through all the pages to get to the delete button of each video takes far too much time. Not to mention once you have deleted one it takes you back to the first page of my videos.

YouTube has massively improved over the last six months with its very good video manager, better stats and faster uploads. I'm starting to feel the Pro account really isnt worth it, only customisable thumbnails and being able to replace video files seem to be the only advantage of vimeo now. :( Please resort some hope. yes please respond to us vimeo. a $200 membership without a video manager is ridiculous. youtube, that now has equal video quality, waaaaaaay better search results includes a video manager where you can delete more than 1 video at at time. this needs to happen sooner than later. '

Yeah I've got to say youtube has been pulling ahead lately. I seriously have to enter my password everytime I want to delete a video? I have to delete over 60 videos, come on guys seriously! I cant even copy and paste my password, what the heck. Ever since you guys changed the site things haven't been that great. Step it up Vimeo.

This is very depressing to find out there is still no way to manage this. I won't use Vimeo nearly as much. I have 50 + videos to delete this morning.

I usually just apple + click and tab-out 20 videos and go through and delete them. Pretty fast that way, but would be nice to have a check box or something

I am not going to piss and moan, Vimeo has been very good to me over the years, but as a Pro user I really could use a multiple delete to clean out previous versions.

Just spent $200 and I am deleting videos 1 by 1. A little sad IMO.

I think we're going to let our account subscription lapse after it's up - vimeo just doesn't seem particularly interested in making their site manageable for their paying customers. There are other options out there, and they seem to offer better features.

Hey had the same problem deleting videos as the above - but accidentally discovered that using swipe on the video app on the iphone allows you to easily delete vids 1 by 1 in a list. Not ideal but a handy fix while we wait for the functionality on the site.

Wow guys - a whole year and no progress on this??

How difficult would this function be to add? The Vimeo uploader is a joke, upload is ridiculously slow and crashes all the time, to make matters worse there is a 3 step delete process with password protection meaning when 5 videos fail to upload twice there is 30+ steps to delete these videos. Vimeo is going backwards, they were really good at one stage but are failing miserably. The uploader is a fail, the lack of ability to display uploaded videos at a chosen resolution is a fail, lack of quality communication with users is a fail - 'Sorry but we do not comment on ship date of active or future projects' a year has gone by since - 'We're looking into a couple of different ways to provide this functionality' (at least let us know if this will be in the next decade). There are many customers ready to jump ship and even Youtube is starting to look like a better alternative, if I was Vimeo I would be very worried about the direction they are going. Start listening to your users Vimeo.

This feature would be great, guys. While we're at it, seeing what videos are public would be nice too. The only way I know what videos aren't private is if I log out and view my profile as a third party.

Not sure if YouTube isn't a better all around answer for Video hosting. Especially since it is taking so long to resolve the multiple video delete options client have been asking for for almost 2 years

This is so frustrating! People are paying 200 dollars for deleting dozens of videos on at the time. Get this done!

This is REALLY frustating... we spend a lot of money for:

1 - Slow uploader
2 - No way to resume broke downloads
3 - No way to upload videos using a applications (vimeo upload just via browser)
4 - No way to delete multiple videos

Fantastic... almost 2 years and NOTHING new in Vimeo? Because if the "new" uploader is new you guys need work hard on it... because is slow, the feature for resume work just for progress uploads (if the upload fail we can't resume).

I have just spent about 2 hours deleting 200 ish videos. This should be a 5 minute job. Even just to have the option to delete on the thumbnails without putting in a password would be good.

But tick boxes with multiple options would be best. Options such as:

Delete
Change Thumbnail
Add Password

Come on please Vimeo

The Vimeo App for IPad has no such delete button at all. terrible!

Deleting multiple videos would be great. It's a big pain to do it video by video.

It seems like you guys have been working on adding a bulk delete function for quite some time now. I'd just like to add my voice to the masses requesting this feature! It's an enormous time sink. I have to say it's frustrating as a paying user that this feature hasn't been added after so many requests.

The Vimeo iphone app was suggested as a way to delete videos more easily. The suggested swipe-left doesn't appear to work any more, but you can go into a video and press Delete without having to enter your password. The app crashes after each deletion, however, so with the time it takes to restart, depending on the length of the password you're avoiding, it's not much of a time saver. I hate to see when good web services like Vimeo end up failing because of their technical hubris, lack of customer focus, and/or their managers' failure to hire great and responsive designers and developers. Without simple features -- like easy deletion -- that could be coded by any number of pre-teen developers in a weekend, Vimeo will soon have little reason for existing. It's quite likely I could take my annual Vimeo Plus fee and hire a programmer in India to implement the feature for Vimeo, so it's not even remotely a question of resources, just really bad decision-making.

Can we get specific on this? This has been an ongoing request for years now and there is all ways a concept of a solution, with out any deadlines or dates that we can expect to see this feature.

How is this still not been seen as an absolute priority by the vimeo team, this year! another year of selecting one video at a time, painfully putting in a password and deleting it.

Vimeo was such a bright star when we started using it a few years ago but really what has happened to it, you were leading the way there for a second but now it seems you have lost it.
It is slighty embarrasing to go through the forums and just see how many times this has been requested and palmed off.

There was a point that you used to say "we will not be adding this as a feature" Now its "we have a plan to work on it this year" I gues thats progress but its just not good enough

I would be willing to pay more if Vimeo had a better video management, but as of now it's so bad. Vimeo please address the ability to batch delete.

Ok, so obviously there's some reason why we don't have the capability to batch delete videos. Being as it's been so long without any reply here I'm guessing Vimeo might be thinking more videos, more extra space paid for. But I would respectfully disagree. All of us here are deleting our videos, one at a time, putting in the password. With each click you get more and more annoyed, and you start researching options other than Vimeo. So perhaps management might think of it this way - improving the product and listening to customers creates loyalty. Just a thought....

WTF Vimeo? Get your act together and give us this feature already.

How about a temp solution to this until you get the app running? I understand that you guys want the delete feature to work smoothly, but I think we'd rather have a buggy work-around than nothing.

I'm also frustrated about the excessive time need to manage my postings. I should mention however I was paying $650 per month for WireDrive and only had 10Gb usage. The customer service and feature request implementation was amazing but it came at a steep price.

Looking back at the history of this issue it looks like over a year people have been requesting this feature. I am glad your UX people are really looking into solving this issue and making it happen. But lets go here. Over a year to enable a bulk delete function.

As a PRO user I would expect a small feature like this to be enabled rather quickly.

This would be a huge feature for us, and would help make vimeo pro a long-term solution. That and portfolio templates.

Get the team together, have a meeting, sew what steps need to be taken, find out actual timelines, tell all your clients when they can expect to see those changes and get this feature live!
