Wordpress usually messes with code so the embed feature doesn't work. Is there a way to get around this so I can post vimeo clips on my blog?

Or a WordPress plug-in, anything that works would be good really.

for wordpress 2.x, what you do, if you're an admin is switch your options...
Options->Writing

and uncheck "Users should use the visual rich editor by default"

then in your post you can copy the "share" text from your video and paste it into your post.

so, in essence, it's a limitation of the rich editor, not wordpress. get around it by unchecking the "rich text".

Unless of course your blog is hosted on wordpress.com, in which case I don't believe you can, also the site strips 'embed' tags from posts.

They have a plugin for youtube and google video but nothing here yet :(

Or you can use the VodPod "Post to wordpress" button. Thats what I just started using in my blog. check it out. I forget where the link is, for it. Just go to wordpress and do a forum search for "vodpod post to wordpress button"

you can see how the vimeo player looks at my site. i resized the player to 430x272
