Hi, I'm experiencing choppy/stuttering playback of my videos and in general all videos from vimeo. Some videos stop at some point, in this way I can't show video to my clients. I'm in Italy, I tried from different mac with different connections, one from home and one from the office. I run the latest flash version and mountain lion 10.8.2. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Ian, thanks for your reply. I don't understand your question? On a imac and mac pro I gues it's flash? Is there a way to put html5 by default? Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion. Under the player there will be either a link that says, "switch to Html5 player" (if you are using the Flash player) or "switch to the Flash player" (if you are using the Html5 player). Which one are you using?

I tried also with html5 and it's pretty much the same, a bit better maybe but choppy playback.

I use the flash player but I tried also to switch to the html5 player and the results are the same.

Have you tried turning HD off?

I'd like to have hd on. It seems pressing shift and reloading the page fixed the issue. Thanks.

hey mark,
I also noticed choppy playback after uploading a video. On my PC, the video plays fine, after uploading, it seems like laming behind 1 frame or so... it's the same on my macbook pro, computer performance and internet connection can't be the problem, both very very fast. I sticked to the vimeo rules to encode my video in h264, 720p, 5000kbit/s and so on... sorry, I can't post the videolink here, it's still private for the client. but I need to solve the problem. It's the 2nd time I noticed that... any suggestions?
