The Staff will always try their best to answer questions in this Forum, but we are human, and do need to rest sometimes, so we also rely on the helpful Community (you!) to help answer each other's questions as well.

    A client of ours wants to use Vimeo Plus as hosting for the video content on their website. Naturally, we're delighted. :)

    They would disallow their video from being shown on Vimeo.com, and ONLY publish it on their site. The clips are not created by them, but are provided to them only for republishing on their own site.

    This seems to break Vimeo's rules, but the rules seem to be there to prevent copyrighted content appearing on Vimeo.com. Since the content won't be shown on Vimeo.com, does this rule still apply? They are paying for a Plus account, so I thought I'd check before taking their business elsewhere.

    are you referring to our no commercial content policy? if so, the rules are applied to both on site and off site content hosted and served by vimeo.

    Our client has been sent news clips, and permission to use them only on their site.
