The Staff will always try their best to answer questions in this Forum, but we are human, and do need to rest sometimes, so we also rely on the helpful Community (you!) to help answer each other's questions as well.

Note: Our staff business hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM – 6PM EST.

    I am so sorry for my "attitude" but I uploaded my video 7 HOURS, HOURS ago, and it still isn't done converting. My release date was yesterday, but I couldn't put the video up because of the file size (1.1gb), youtube is free and can handle 2 gbs. and I am paying 60 bucks a year to have to wait 7 hours while the compression for my video constantly restarts?!? this is OUTRAGEOUS! I am finding it harder and harder everyday to protect vimeo. it feels like it is just the "cool artist" version of youtube. its like getting a zune because you don't wan't to be conformist and get an ipod. At least the ipod WORKS!

    i'm sorry if I am angry, but my cast and crew have been waiting for this project to be done since it was started last august. I don't understand why it has to take this long to compress a video.

    also, no one even responded to my last thread. You wen't out of your way to LOCK the thread, but not to fix the problem. this is ridiculous, and vimeo "plus" is not even worth the hassel let alone the cost.

    I love you guys, I love vimeo, but this is just really upsetting me. Please fix this wrong. Thank you, and once again I apologize for the hostility.

    the thread was locked because it was moved to more appropriate forum (vimeo.com/forums/topic:15452) for this type of topic.

    as for the reasons... i've already explained in the thread linked above. the first attempt at HD conversion had failed. 1GB HD encoding attempt take a long time, even when it fails and that explains why it's unfortunately taking longer than usual in this case. like i've stated before we will keep an eye on this file.
