    Hey guys,

Please post all new issues here: vimeo.com/forums/topic:16349
  • As others, still having problems with the audio sync. vimeo.com/5695615
(Set to watch by invitation only now, as it's broken.)
Uploaded video with settings in place like recommended. Still image and sound are out of sync from second one. Video is quite short, so setting markers in the vid doesn't help. Aspect ratio, too is slightly weird and only looks proper in fullscreen mode.

As said: Used the recommended settings. What else to do?

if we can't look at it then how can anybody help?
  •
  • You can always ask to see the video as it's open by invitation. I just don't want a faulty vid out there on public display.

Same here. Just over a 3 min clip.
    vimeo.com/5842279
For the most part the clips are supposed to cut on the downbeat of the song. Seems like it's off by at least 5-7 frames behind.

Talked to Dalas to try and resolve the sync issue. He suggested taking out the black intro and have the movie start on first visible frame. Didn't work. Anyone else have an answer?

This may be a part of the problem, some of your data reads as follows- Pixel aspect ratio 59:54 and display aspect ratio 295:216 try re-compressing to these settings- vimeo.com/help/compression

    Hey Dan,
    vimeo.com/5842279
Audio is up to 10 frames behind. Happens on all new files I try. Even the same source files for current videos on there from months ago I uploaded again as a new video and the old one is fine, the new one is delayed like the video in question above. Please help. I have slugs in all empty slots. Tried all recommendations. You can reference the original file for correct timing.

Hi everyone we're still looking into this and it should be happening to fewer users now, but we're still working on it. Thanks for your patience.

It sounds like a vimeo issue totally, I've been uploading the same videos to Google Videos, Youtube and vimeo for a while now, and only in the last two weeks have things gotten screwed up with some delay they put in when they re-encode the videos.

In case it might give you guys any clues on what is causing this, I just noticed the following in one of the videos I uploaded which plays back with out-of-sync audio.
    Original video length: 4444.5 s
    Length on vimeo: 4440 s

The original video was encoded at 29.970029 fps, and it's played back by vimeo at the same fps.
However, if I divide the original length over the vimeo length, I get a very close result to dividing 30 / 29.970029

I'm trying re-encoding the same video at 30fps and re-uploading to see if I still get the out-of-sync audio. I'll let you guys know how it goes
    Hope that helps
