The Staff will always try their best to answer questions in this Forum, but we are human, and do need to rest sometimes, so we also rely on the helpful Community (you!) to help answer each other's questions as well.
Note: Our
business hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM – 6PM EST.

Be sure when you're exporting your video that you are using the following settings:
Audio Codec: AAC
Sound sample rate: 44.100 kHz
Audio quality: bit rate of 320 kbps.
Frame rate: This is usually 30 for USA/Japan/Canada, while in Europe and rest of the world it's usually 25. If there is an option that says "keyframes" go with the same value you used for framerate.

I'll run them back through again.
Their still off :(
the audio seems a few frames ahead of the video still....
Please help... Thanks!
the only black frame in vimeo.com/7223859 is in the end. and yes, there are black frames in vimeo.com/7102615. I did put a slug underneath the whole video of both, which i was told would prevent issues like this....Your help is greatly appreciated. These sync issues throw off the whole viewing experience of the videos.
Thanks!!!

This is our fourth upload attempt and the problems keeps repeating, ive followed the compression guidelines closely. We hve already missed our deadline and are under a fair amolunt of pressure, can you help us at all? thanks very much
Sorry you've felt ignored. We aren't trying to hide anything. We handle thousands of videos a day and inevitably some of them will have errors. Sometimes it's our fault, sometimes it has to do with the way the video was compressed. Sometimes we have no idea why it happens, your videos appear to be compressed correctly. I am attempting to repair the sync issue on this video- vimeo.com/7257364
I hope this helps but I'm honestly not sure if it will at all.
Sorry you felt neglected. Vimeo is only about 15 people and almost 3 million users, sometimes we mess up.

Can you have a look at it? Thanks a lot.
In Compression guidelines it says that you often see H.264 codec as .mp4. ignore that.
when you export your video from ex. Quicktime, you make it as a normal quicktime, but you adjust your compressor to H.264 i settings.
all other options should be as described i compression guidelines, although i've used 48 kHz istead of 44,1 kHz
this seems to get everything to work in my case.
So most important!!! Don't save your file as a mp4, but as a mov. and if your sound is recorded in 48 kHz, used that as well.
Good luck
I followed the guidlines.
For some reason its cutting off the first 2sec of my film too.
Has vimeo encountered a bug?
Theres so many uploaders with the same problem.
Any explanation?
I just want to cry emo tears.
If you guys can fix my last upload that would be awesome.

Looks like you deleted that if this happens again post here.
We process tens of thousands of videos a day so if you see a few people having sync issues that's not indicative of a system wide problem.
Like some others, also using Handbrake. Settings are slightly off recommendation, using 48khz instead of 44.1, and using 160kbps instead of 320. All other settings as recommended. While some other uploaders have reported audio getting ahead of the video around 16 minutes, but mine is well out of sync as early as 5 or 6 minutes.

These are just two videos with problems. Other videos suffer from sync problems, but I don't see a reason to post a litany of videos here unless there is a fix.
