i read that its supposed to be able to upload more than 1GB, is that still limited?
Just wanted to mention that I haven't received any instructions or more information yet.
1) I would like to see the ability to add the videos to an album (or group) in the uploader - unless I missed something, it seems you have to go to the website after you upload and individually add each video to an album.
2) The ability to batch upload is very nice, but I did notice one (somewhat large) downside. It seems that the tool uploads one file at a time, where as before, with a couple tabs open, I could upload multiple videos at the same time. This made me notice a significant difference in time needed to upload videos via the tool vs a browser (the browser with a couple tabs was about 2-3x faster than the uploader tool).
Thats just my $0.02.
2. It s slower because it takes more time to split the file into pieces and upload them individually, but that's part of what makes it more stable than browser based uploading.
I've a serious upload problem....isn't possible to test that uploader...since we are using mac and pc to work with upload, do you have the same uploader for Windows...?
Is it possible to use FTP protocol ?
Because I used to upload 30 videos file one-per-one, and ajust the setting privacy to work only in my website, and set the custom embedding player.
In the "desktop Uploader" don´t aceppt brasilian scripts like "Á, É, Í, Ó, Ú" it show the strange "�, �, �, � ,�"
It will be very nice when Dektop Uploader make everything can be possible in vimeo website uploader like custom player, security, photos, credits, add to, create album, thumbnail, and video file.
I can help to translate the desktop uploader to portuguese. I have experience with Sony Creative, RedGiantsoftware, Celemony, RuntimeSoftware producing brazilian-portuguese versions of promo video.
I can produce a video-tutorial. Only give me an authorization to do that. make me exclusive auth to do this for the idea.
