    Hello,

    We're building a citizen news website, and are considering using Vimeo Plus for the video side of it. I found this topic here: vimeo.com/forums/topic:12757#comment_1356191.

    That was 6 months ago. I wanted to know if it's at all possible today to upload videos to Vimeo through my site (instead of having to send users to Vimeo for uploads)? Or do you have plans in that direction in the (near) future? Thanks!

    Yes it is possible, but you'll have to upload to the individual user accounts, not a single account created by you.

    Just curious: why is it impossible to do so with a single account (hypothetically assuming our users agree we upload their videos to Vimeo)?

    We are running a contest where we want participants to upload their video entries to our account. It is in our contest rules and terms & conditions.

    Is there any way to provide a private/public/permission-protected/password-protected upload to our participants?

    Users must upload their videos to their own account, but you could implement your own uploading interface with our Upload API.
