Can we take it you are in active discussion with Wordpress to support an embedded Vimeo tag along the lines of [vimeo=http://....] by analogy with their youTube tag?

Yes, we are in discussions with Wordpress. Unfortunately, they are just really busy, so I dont know an exact time frame. I would say days, but we dont actually have any control.

wow this would be sweet if they made this happen. Ive requested this before. I love wordpress and i love vimeo and to have the two of them together would be super sweet! altought im having trouble with this vodpod thing. i think its cuz im on a stupid PC running internet explorer.

Michael, you need to be running Firefox to do this. It is a better browser anyway and free to download from here:
mozilla.com/en-US/
I've been using Firefox on my Windows PC for a long time now. IE is still there. Oddly, I had trouble doing a normal upload of a video to Vimeo in Firefox the other day but it worked in IE. But you do need Firefox to use VodPod.
