I would like to know if it is possible to add a second level of 'moderator-ness' to channels.

Right now, if you want someone to be able to submit videos to a channel, you need to add them as a moderator, right? I think it would be good if you could add people as a 'contributor' or something, so they can submit videos and/or files that would only become officially part of the channel once they have been approved by a proper 'moderator'.

This, I think, would allow channels to be used for more interactive Projects without having to add EVERYONE as a moderator.

--- Also, while I'm on the subject, I think another good feature would be the ability to have 'blogs' display in the main area of the page instead of on either side (or AS WELL AS on either side). Or would this make the page too much like a traditional blog? Thoughts?

do you think those "contributors" can be well... anyone on vimeo?

Yes, if you set it so anyone can submit a video - then that video would only appear for moderators of the channel, who can then accept or reject it.

We are discussing plans for another level of moderators. I think having both the ability to post to the channel but not edit it, and/or allowing anyone to post to the channel that only moderators would be able to approve, are two levels of functionality that would greatly improve things.

We are working on Channels 2.0 in which you will see A LOT of new improvements and more functionality.
