I have stood at too many gravesides, having unsaid conversations in my head with those who would not now answer back....to have not let it change me.

I now communicate, with, for and about the people I love. so that conversation was and is continuous.

Death is an everyday thing , it could be an everyday thing to post and indeed view videos of and about the recently dead, allowing us all to share in the meaning and manner of these peoples lives, we could all learn from that .... I feel

My question is, is this what vimeo is partly for? do you think it should be a channel? called what?......think celebration!

    vimeo.com/440195

This film sums up for me beautifully what such a place in the vimeo community could support.

To me death is a vital part of life, nature is all about the life in transformative death.
We seem more mired in the now as to be blind to past and future, so firmly in the grip of human experience that we forget our source and our heart our being.

We are not human beings, we are beings, being human and as such are one part of a very great whole and death is not final it is hand in hand with life. The further away we get from our and everyone's beings the more divided and fearful we become and the less we realise our power and our possible unity.

I've had too many projects on, to give this the full whack it deserves, I'm going off on holiday ( the first in 5 years ) which should offer some breathing space in my brain, I only have two design projects to work up whilst away cycling around the Outer Hebrides... but this is playing on my mind and is still somthing I want to make.

Shall I still go on the lines of " death the story of life" I suppose the I feel the design has to be comforting and supportive as well as up beat and following the direction I have already stated....in short I'm scarred of doing this too personally ...... when in fact its such a complex and wide ranging experience????.......

how come I write loads , and you get it all done in three word answers thats genius that is...

i think i like this topic. i'd like to see more examples and i can see myself participating in this project in the future. if i'm going to make one of these videos, it's going to be perfect. to celebrate those i have lost.

great concept. if this got to rolling soon, it could mature nicely through the summer, and by autumn, and say... halloween and so forth it might really explode. earth is as much a graveyard as a garden of rebirth. no one gets out of here alive. the quicker we address that the more vigor in our dance. 'dying to live' ...

Thanks good line that dying to live ...cool

i did a photography series a few years ago called, "dying to live" and it was based on the sea as a graveyard... with images of things either dead or dying along the shores of southern cali. i took some of the "debris" and used it to build sculpture... celebrating the cycle of life - sustained by all that is dying. feel free to use it ---- poetic license. peace bro
