all of a sudden, since yesterday night the website we use cannot retrieve videos from VIMEO based on albums. We use Tubepress, but in order to fix that i would like to know what changed yesterday. I wonder if it has anything to do with the new look. It came about at the same time.
thanks!

Sorry about that, should be fixed in a couple minutes.

Hey, i had this problem too but its easy to fix if you dont mind changing a bit of code. See here for how to fix it-

Hey, did something change again with the API/new site again? (Love the new site by the way!) I use tubepress and it seems to be having the same problem today as iam.lk had. My error message reads "Problem communicating with Vimeo: The oauth_signature passed was not valid." I tried Andy's fix, but I've already updated to the new version and the code had already changed to that. I double checked that the code was correct for the API on the new version. This might just be a tubepress thing, but any info is great!
Thanks!

I'm having the same issue. I didn't change a thing and all the sudden our site isn't pulling any of our Vimeo videos, and is giving me this error: The oauth_signature passed was not valid.
HELP! :)

I am having the same problem. Tried Andy's fix but still says The oauth_signature passed was not valid. No site changes have been made so seems to be on Vimeo's end.

Am also having this issue, it only started occurring a few days ago.

I've met the same problem : getting a 401 error "The oauth_signature passed was not valid" from a website which had been working perfectly for months. I've realized that there was a blank space at the end of my consumer key : I removed it and it's working back now. Guess there was an automated trim on consumer values before which must have been removed. Hope this helps !

Thanks Franck L, that fixed it for me!
What a silly thing to cause such a big problem. Wonder why that extra space is there in the first place when you copy your key from vimeo.

I'm having this problem, but getting the message "No Matching Videos." Anybody know why this could be? It sounds like my problem might be slightly different than everyone with the "oauth" error...
iDream.tv Plus
Hey Jim, I was getting that before I updated to the new version of tubepress, and when I did update I got the oath problem. I'd say check to see if there is a space on tubepress settings for the consumer key and/or upgrade to the new tubepress then try it. Hope that helps!

Thanks Franck! I would have never caught that! That fixed it for me too!

yes that blanks pace fixed it

Hmm.. have the same problem. Removed the space, but still broken...??
steve kilbey
Fixed it. Copied the keys onto text pad, then back into the form fields to clear out any weirdness. That did it.

Thanks Steve! Just removing the space did not work for me and your extra tip really helped. All up and running again!

Yep - From WordPress go to Settings on the left, then TubePress, and under the "Feed" tab, go down to the Vimeo API Consumer Key and take off the space at the end. Then be sure to hit "Save" at the bottom. Worked for me, anyway!
SurfGirl
Yep, can confirm, space at the end of the key was stopping it working for us...
Gary Ploski
I just fixed someone's trouble with this by removing the blank space after the Vimeo API "Consumer Key" in TubePress/WordPress as well. Thanks for the heads up, Franck L.

just to share also. took off the space at the end of the key and everything fell back into place and is working great again.
Thanks for the advice

fixed it for me too... updated to the latest tubepress and got rid of the stupid space at the end of the api key and now everything is back to normal!
