Embedding Problem: "The video url exceeds 300 characters." in the Vimeo Technical Help Forum

please help. i'm trying to embed my videos on a forum. but every time i try to paste the embed code the forum says "The video url exceeds 300 characters."

i am able to embed youtube videos on that forum because most youtube embed codes are less than 300 characters. is there a way i can strip down the vimeo embed codes to make them less than 300 characters? i've searched for answers and found that i'm not the only one here with this problem.

This is the smallest I could make it that still worked:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="512" height="288" data="vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=XXXXX"<>param name="quality" value="best"<>param name="movie" value="vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=XXXXX"<>/object>

Replace the number with the vimeo video number from its URL. 241 bytes.
