    Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere. I was just searching the forums but I probably missed it.

    I did an editing project where I had to create a promotional spotlight video for a restaurant. I wanted to upload it here so I can link to it on my website under my portfolio as an editing sample but when I went to upload it, I saw the note that said you can't upload commercial or promo stuff. Is my video not okay because it's a promo for a restaurant or is it only if you're promoting your OWN goods and services?

    I know that in demo reels people have commercials for goods and services that they edited, directed, etc and that's okay to post so I wasn't sure.

    I think you will be fine. I have seen users with videos of commercials they have made. I think its that they don't want people using the site as a medium for advertising.

    I would go ahead and upload the video and if its a problem they will let you know.

    I imagine if you made it clear it was for a portfolio in the description/actually have other content, they'd be fine with it.

    yeah, as long as the intent is not commercial in nature then you are fine to upload anything your created.
