    Most digital photos are embedded with data that tells you what camera they were shot with. Flickr, for example, reads this data and you can search by camera.

    I'd like to be able to see what cameras people are using, but rather than relying on tags, a simple "shot with" section would be nice, for the curious amongst us. Although it would be not entirely accurate, it would give a brief overview of what are the most popular cameras.

    the big problem exif data as it applies to the video production is that the data is commonly lost when you edit your videos.

    What I meant by a separate section was a manual 'select your camera' as part of the video upload, as obviously few uploads would have any EXIF data attached.

    ahh i see. this too was discussed in another forum thread. we are thinking about doing something like that. we actually have a proof of concept design.

    There is an additional issue there though, as most videos are edited, and therefore MIGHT be from more than 1 camera.
