I'm new to iMovie '08 and editing in the program in general, so I'm a bit clueless. I can't for the life of me figure out how to speed up a clip in the program. I tried searching in the help section of the program and searched online, but I could only find how to speed up a video in older versions of iMovie (which wasn't any help :[). Thank you to anyone who can help me solve this problem! :]

That's a question to ask here instead:
    discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1194

Also, have you actually tried to read the Help file?

One minute on that forum I linked above, and I had my answer:
    karsten.schluter.googlepages.com/slowmowithim08

I highly recommend you use iMovie 06 btw, not 08. The 06 version is free to download for 08 users, because Apple knew how much the 08 sucked because they removed most of the features.

Sorry, I'm new to Mac computers so I never knew that Apple had a discussion forum. Thank you though for the help! I just figured I could/would ask on Vimeo since editing is part of making a video and it was where I was going to upload the video.

I think it was fair enough that you asked your technical question in the Technical Questions section. Eugenia is a very helpful person, but she can be a little brusque in her comments!

I love the way Apple releases new software that has more restrictions and less features than their old software. I remember "upgrading" to a "higher" version of Quicktime and found that I'd lost full screen mode and all editing functions. So I had to by pro. Legalised robbery! Like your hat by the way SteveR.

vincenzof, this is tech help for Vimeo, not for iMovie. At least that's how I see it.
