    It would be great if I could write a custom Invite message. I feel like the default message seems just like any other Join this Website message and friends/family are a bit hesitant to join yet another social site. If I could tell them why they should join like: "Hey family, you should join because we're posting videos of the new baby every day! And this is the site I'd like to share them from. Please join!"

    Having both options (default and custom messaging) would be ideal.

    this page was set up as a no-fuss easy-as-possible tool for the mass. we figured if people wanted to customize the message, they will just email their contacts directly instead.

    Don't get me wrong, the no fuss part is exactly why I love this site and have promoted the hell out of it to friends and family. Just would be nice to have a little button or something next to the default message that said "Click here to customize your invite message" or something. Definitely something unobtrusive in the style of the rest of the site. I suggest this because I do send so many invites but most people think it's yet another request to join a social site and they don't realize all the greatness of Vimeo. :)
