Hi,
We are a bunch of filmmakers about to do a short film as an experiment before the release of 'The Hobbit'. We want to make a film at 48fps to see what it will look like and work like in real practice. However, we want to have people see it at 48fps online (maybe 60fps if that's what we film at, not sure yet). Would it be easily implementable in Vimeo? I could see this being an interesting video for people and it would be great if we could do it here?

I'd like the same thing! did you hear anything back from Vimeo on this? I'm assuming it would have to be at a lower resolution (like 720) to compensate for bandwidth issues.

Bandwidth will no doubt be an issue. We have a team of transcoding experts who also test the playback performance of various encoding settings constantly and continuously. We never say never (we're one of the first to pioneer true HD delivery online) but it will take some time before we can push the boundaries again.
