A three-piece collaborative effort heavily influenced by the krautrock movement of 1970's Germany, Fotosputnik's three core members produce and record all tracks in their Chicago home studio. Atmospheric and driving, the trio's sounds compliment a long drive through the desert, lonely walks through the forest, or in speed trials on the Autobahn ? hypnotic, steady, but ambient and evolving. Using guitars, banjos, drums, organs, synthesizers, children's toys and a plethora of effects pedals, Fotosputnik develops live song structures with projector films resulting in a total sensory experience lending the band a creative mindset and work ethic toward producing film soundtracks.
