FOUND is the brainchild of college buddies Ziggy Campbell (lead vocals, guitar), Tommy Perman (bass guitar, synth) and Kev Sim (sampler, melodica). They began life as an experimental arts collective putting on many weird and wonderful events in art galleries, warehouses and even storage containers. They recruited the help of Gav Sutherland (keys, backing vocals) and Alan Stockdale (drums and percussion), and morphed into a formidable pop group.

They specialise in pulling sounds from their every day surroundings and cutting’n’pasting them into songs. Since they formed, they have consistently challenged the perceived limitations of home-recording, through a series of singles and E.P.’s - producing aurally stunning, thought-provoking-music-you-can-move-to, in exquisitely designed packaging, from the confines of their bedrooms. This is not merely self-indulgent experimentation for the sake of it, but rather vital, stimulating and (above all) fun pop music.

Their self-released debut ‘Found Can Move’ earned them an impressive amount of UK national radio play including support from BBC Radio 1 djs, Steve Lamaq, Rob Da Bank, Huw Stevens and Vic Galloway. They’ve recorded radio sessions for BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio Scotland including a recording in John Peel’s studio at Maida Vale. They also recorded an exclusive live session in the legendary ‘Beatles Studio’ at Abbey Road for US radio station U-Pop XM 29. MTV Europe snapped up the videos for both their debut single ‘Mullokian’ and follow up ‘Static 68’ and the band made their debut TV appearance on BBC Scotland’s ‘The Music Show’.

Now signed to King Creosote's label, Fence Records, FOUND have a prolific output with two full length albums and six singles / EPs in the last two years, with releases on Fence Records [Scotland], Creeping Bent [Scotland] and Aufgeladen Und Bereit [Hamburg, Germany]. A selection of these can be heard at myspace.com/foundtheband

FOUND have also become sought-after remixers and in the last six months have applied their creative imaginations to reworking the music of King Creosote (Warner), Make Model (EMI), Attic Lights (Island) and Au Revoir Simone (Moshi Moshi). A selection of these can be heard at myspace.com/fndrmx

Live they have built up a strong fan base across the UK and highlights of their live career to date include the BBC’s first Electric Proms, T in the Park, Triptych, the Fence Collective’s ‘Homegame’ festival, Brighton's Great Escape festival and Connect Festival.
