“Sound and space mutually reinforce one another in our perception; the qualities of a space affect how we perceive a sound and those of a sound affect how we perceive a space. Space and sound are inextricably linked in our experience of what it is to exist in the world”
Colin Ripley

Francesco “Fuzz” Brasini has been working in the musical world since the end of the 1980s, exploring different musical genres and instruments. His current research is based on compositional structures obtained from the sums of tones and overtones produced by the strings of electric guitars and the feedback generated by amplification systems. The will to find a specific timbric quality is at the base of his research into the technical and maufacturing characteristics of musical instruments that led him to design and make by hand a series of prototypes of guitars, basses, valve-amplifiers and analog effects. Sevenguitars and Strings Resonance, his last solo projects, are the result of these experiences. Since 2007, he has been collaborating with Zapruder Filmmakersgroup for their films and installations’ soundtracks (Daimon, Pletora, Cock-Crow, Fault, All inclusive, Joule), as well as for musical projects (Criptofonia, S-wing and Suite). In 2010 he starts a musical project in duo with Luciano Maggiore; Chàsm Achanés (Boring Machines, 2011) is their first release. In the last years he has also collaborated with Giancarlo Bianchini (AZT/Hotel Nuclear), Pietro Riparbelli (PK11), Mattia Dallara (Rymasth Music) e Dario Neri (Macchine sonore). His last works have been released by Radical Matters/Edition Labels (2009), Boring Machines (2011) and Bruits netlabel (2011)
