Juergen Beck was born in the Black Forest area of Southern Germany. As a young man, he pursued a number of creative endeavors including photography and videography.
In 1995, he sold practically everthing he owned to travel to the United States in pursuit of his on "American Dream".
As a videographer with WAFF Television, Juergen was responsible for the production of live and taped news and sports events. Covering the news helped him cultivate communication skills as he dealt with people from all walks of life. He also developed flexibility while shooting video in a wide array of situations.
In 2003, Juergen realized a dream when he was sworn in as an American citizen. He established Freedom Light Productions (FLP) in 2005. The name, “Freedom Light”, is a reflection of his appreciation for this country’s freedoms and the opportunities they afford.
