Gabriel Tyner

Gabriel Tyner was born in Gainesville Florida. He made his first movie when he was ten years old with a VHS recorder and some friends. While growing up he was always taking pictures and video whenever he could get his hands on the medium. In high school he learned how to edit on a non-linear system where he started making his own movies and documentaries. He was first introduced to Black and White 35mm in college and eventually ended up with several photo exhibitions. He later became a well known artist in the area for his signature Black and White Infrared photos. He graduated from the University of Florida with a 3.7. GPA. At UF he received a degree in Anthropology with a minor in Classics and Latin American Studies. Anthropology, the study of human beings, became an integral part of his movie career. After all, things like culture, dialogue, and human interaction are very important to the script writing process. After graduating from college he traveled all over Mexico to photograph and video the temples and pyramids there. After returning to the states he decided to start his own production company based on his experience as a videographer and his obsession with making movies. In 2007, Gabriel got a job as an associate producer at a local news station and after a month he was promoted to director. As a live news director Gabriel learned to think quick on his feet and work well in a team environment. He has produced several documentaries and one film. His documentary “The Bionic Cowboy” recently screened at “The Last Call Film Festival” in Louisville Kentucky. He also just recently finished a reality TV pilot called "Five Angry Ninjas." He is currently working on a documentary about gangs called "Chasing Ghosts" and just finished a script for his sci-fi thriller "Tesla's Coil." Also, at the station he has produced several shows for TV including one on self defense, budget weddings, and a talent show. During his time at TV20, the ratings for the morning show "Morning Edition" have improved significantly. He continues to improve himself by getting to know people who are both challenging and engaging in order for him to better himself as a human being.
