Gail Sixsmith
I am a physical performance artist, actress, director and theatre maker. Originally trained as a visual artist I am very attracted to visual performance and having spent many years dedicated to a theatre practice I am now experimenting with multi-media. My ideas are a combination of classic dramas or themes and innovative form. My work is concerned with communicating, images, ideas and psychologies through the body disciplines of movement, dance and gesture. My aim is to create artistic works and visual performance that transcends cultural boundaries and that resist naturalistic approaches. My current project and obsession is based on the vivid journey and ultimate disintegration of Lady Macbeth. I am very open to the idea of artistic collaboration.
