I have recently graduated with an Honours Degree in Music Technology and I am now looking to secure a job in the production industry. Through out my course I undertook several Video modules and it became apparent to me that I was more interested in this than Recording Studio work, so much so that for my Honours project I chose to create a DVD of live bands from around Glasgow.
I have experience working on a television production in London, which the BBC are interested in, as a sound recordist and boom operator for a comedy pilot by Andy Abraham and Michael Douglas (aka 'The Street Barber') which featured Ann Mitchell (Casualty/ The Bill/ Heartbeat). I have also filmed and edited several videos of bands playing live around Glasgow such as Frightened Rabbit and Twin Atlantic for University projects.
I have also just finished a few days work experience with 12 Yard Productions at the BBC studios in Glasgow as an Audience Runner working on Dale Winton's 'In It To Win It' in conjunction with the National Lottery. These few days were invaluable as I experienced what was involved behind the scenes to produce a large scale production like this.
