After working at the design agency DRAWING AND MANUAL, Ito worked as a freelance motion designer. He then joined W+K Tokyo Lab in 2004 to participate in numerous music video and visual productions. One of the projects he worked on, “WAMONO”, won the Excellence Prize at Japan Media Arts Festival. Ito officially became Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo’s digital artist in 2008, and went on to work on visual works for Google, Nike and PlayStation. He made his debut as director with Jemapur’s “Clarte”, which went on to receive accolades at media festivals in Germany, Australia, England and the US. Recently, Ito has been working on collaborations with flower arrangement artists and painters, and increasing his presence in the installation field as well. His most recent work, Hifana’s “HANABEAM”, is scheduled to be shown at SIGGRAPH 2010.

デザイン事務所DRAWING AND MANUALを経て、フリーランスのモーションデザイナーとして活動。
2004年より、W+K Tokyo Labにて、多くのミュージックビデオやビジュアル制作に参加。
参加作品の一つであるHIFANA “WAMONO”は、文化庁メディア芸術祭エンターテイメント部門にて優秀賞を受賞。2008年、Wieden+Kennedy TokyoにDigital Artistとして正式に入社しNIKEやGoogleの映像制作にも携わる。初監督作品となったJemapur “Clarte”はドイツ、オーストラリア、イギリス、アメリカなどのメディア芸術祭で上映され高い評価を得た。
また最近では、華道家や画家とのコラボレーションにも力を入れ、インスタレーションの分野でも活躍している。
