The Georgia Teen Republicans has been an organization since the 1980’s. However, the Georgia TRs faded away during the Clinton years and re-established themselves in the 2002 election cycle where the Georgia Teen Republicans played a major grassroots role in the successful election of Georgia’s first Republican Governor in over 130 years. Since then, the Georgia Teen Republicans has established themselves as a pathway for teenagers to become involved with the Republican Party in Georgia.

The Executive Board and the State Committee are the governing body of the Georgia Teen Republicans. The Executive Board is made up of a seven member Board that is chiefly responsible for day to day operations, creating new clubs, and approving laws. The State Committee is made up of the Executive Board, State Officers, Committee Chairman, and the Club Chairman of the Georgia Teen Republicans. The State Committee coordinates efforts between clubs and enacts statewide legislation that has to be approved by the Executive Board.
