I am an independent documentary and feature film director whose work has screened at New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), San Francisco's De Young Museum and at film festivals around the world. Although my background is in visual anthropology, I have also studied with cinema verite iconoclast Jean Rouch, maverick cinematographer Haskell Wexler, and philosophical film theorist Stanley Cavell. Through my production company, Small Change Productions, I have developed and directed films principally concerned with memory, identity and the narrative impulse.
