Lauren Galley, Teen Mentor, Radio Host, Actress, Model and President of Girls Above Society transitioned from her high school AP program to college at age 16 embarking on a journey driven to create an anchor of empowerment for teen girls. Launching (at age 17) Girls Above Society gives Lauren the platform of teen to teen mentorship combined with film visuals creating a social media movement. As a voice to young teen girls, Lauren hosts her own radio show “The Lauren Galley Show” and has been heard on Fox News, Best Ever You Radio, Talented Teens, and LOA Radio Show.  Her writing has appeared in numerous publications such as International Talent Magazine, Talented Teens, Babble, and THINK covering issues of the many pressures young teens are facing in today’s society. Lauren has recently been named Chief Teen Advisor for Best Ever You (Teen) Network, Youth Advocate for Free2Luv, as well as Teen Commentator for Houston Family Magazine and is a co-host for the radio show "Tabloid Talk" with Sarah Newton, of Talented Teens in the UK.

Lauren's "Girl Talk" program, exclusively created for girls in grades 5-9, covers current topics using “reality video” relating to pressures affecting a generation bombarded by a new wave of negative values and standards. Lauren’s warmth and compassion allows the girls to feel comfortable speaking about these issues leaving these girls feeling empowered to become successful and confident young women. Helping teens feel good about themselves and empowering them to mentor their peers about the importance of self-acceptance holds the promise of improved lives for teens everywhere.

Lauren's tag line "Making a difference....One Girl at a Time" ignites a passion for charitable causes such as Boy and Girls Country, The Star of Hope Women’s Shelter, Girls Scouts, Cy-Hope located throughout the South Texas region. Lauren's work extends to the economically challenged territories providing hope and change. Lauren's effort to bring an end to bullying has been officially recognized by Texas Governor Rick Perry. Lauren tells girls "BU ~ There's No One Else Like It!"

Lauren’s latest film opportunities include a co-star role as Sparx McCoy along with Matt Lavine as Matt Mercury in “Matt Mercury - Plot of the Galactic Mastermind” directed by Bill Hughes of Big Tex Movin Picture Company, and “Making of a Serial Killer” directed by Russ Miller of Cynsings Studios, both to be released 2013-2014. Lauren has been seen on ABC Family’s “The Lying Game”, and NBC's "CHASE" as well as National Commercials such as Fox Sports and Jarritos. Modeling for boutiques, charity fashion shows, and catalogue print work lets the world see the confidence, beauty, and intelligence attached to a contagious smile that warms everyone she meets. Helping teens feel good about themselves and empowering them to mentor their peers about the importance of self-acceptance holds the promise of improved lives for teens everywhere.

Lauren lives in Houston, Texas where she attends Lone Star College studying Psychology. Lauren is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Student Activities Board. She holds officer positions in the Honors Program and Psychology Club. Her latest honor ~ Student Excellence Award for Service 2013
