Since the beginning of 2006, national arts and social change company Big hART has been exploring the chemistry of bringing together young people growing up in Griffith New South Wales, with farming families during the worst drought in recorded history.

Young people and photographers, filmmakers, designers and producers, have spent time on rural properties across the Murray Darling Basin in Eastern Australia. These project participants have been sharing and collecting stories of hardship, survival and resilience with farming families who may well become Australia’s first refugees of climate change.
