Hi I'm an award winning British/ Iranian film and theatre director, singer and writer based in sunny Scotland. I trained in theatre in Paris, toured in theatre for a few years and then fell in love with film. I received a Masters in Fine Arts specialising in Film Directing from Edinburgh College of Art. I've made films in Scotland, Iran and Lebanon and am particularly passionate about films to do with human rights. Currently I am directing/Producing a new 6 part film series called "Poets of Protest" for Al Jazeera English.

I also sing and write music with the band GOL.
