Grand Rapids First is a vibrant church. Our worship is exuberant, the relationships here are authentic and the preaching is relevant to your life. We are part of the fellowship of the Assemblies of God, but in our congregation you'll meet people from many varied groups and denominations who were drawn to Grand Rapids First by the vitality, richness and power of God that is present in this church.

Our mission is simple: bringing people to Christ and equipping them to be like Him. It is our prayer that people would find a life-transforming relationship with Christ as a result of our ministry to them and that they would continue to grow in this new life to attain all that God has planned for them.

We love people and enjoy serving them in the name of Jesus. We believe that small things done with great love can change lives, by pointing them to God. You'll find us at the Fourth of July parade handing out goodies, wrapping gifts for no cost at Rivertown Crossing Mall, making stockings filled with toys for children who may not otherwise get a gift near Christmas time or just volunteering in our local schools and parks. We call it servant evangelism and we do it to show God's love.

We are a diverse church with people of all ages, races and economic levels worshiping together. You will feel welcome and will find people like yourself and will forge new friendships.
