Sierra Nevada = Snowy Range.
It is the Andalusian's answer to skiing even in the summer. We decided to make the trip up to visit one of the highest point in Spain. As the locals say, whenever it rains in Granada, it will snow up in Sierra Nevada. We woke up in the morning to a slight downpour and quickly made our journey up. We had to forgo ski lifts and snowboards as we were a little underdressed! :P

Bodega Iniesta = Andres Iniesta's home town / Vineyard.
Not many people know where Fuentealbilla is. It was on our way towards Valencia (slight detour), when we decided to pay a visit. It is his home town where he currently own over 100 acres of vineyard. A pretty small town with nice people that's all we can say! :)

Las Fallas = Burning up huge figurines in the city of Valencia.
We arrived days prior to Las Fallas, so we could only witness the setting up of the huge figurines and sculptures around the city. Each neighbourhood of the city has an organized group of people, the Casal faller, that works all year long holding fundraising parties and dinners, usually featuring the famous specialty paella. Each casal faller produces a construction known as a falla which is eventually burnt. Although the Falles is a very traditional event and many participants dress in medieval clothing, the ninots for 2005 included such modern characters as Shrek and George W. Bush, and the 2012 Falles included characters like Barack Obama and Lady Gaga. A must visit in the middle of March! :D
