This was my latest experience/RnD with 3dsmax PFlow. It's some kind of "embroidery" using particles. This is a simple idea, but i like the results and workflow. Very simple to do and effective, customizable, flexible. ;)
I've just animated a Map (In this case, a Gradient Radial), in Black and White, and the system makes the "lines" germinating on any surface... The animation is triggered by the procedural map luminance and the particle shapes came from an instanced geometry (animated).
I can imagine some nice effects using this technique. :)
Actually i am wondering to make a bunch of "title animations" using my Kumodot logo apearing with some sort of mixed techniques... :)
I know...It's very short, it's just a proof of concept, i will do some more animations using this. :)
